Scoutbook is for scouts, parents and leaders
Access to Scoutbook is essential for all troop members.
Scouts will enter their camping and volunteer hours here. They will also use it to keep track of which requirements they need work on. Hard copy scout handbooks will get lost, get wet in the rain - so Scoutbook is our source of truth for rank advancement.
Parents need access to not only set up their scout(s) account(s), but also can find / connect merit badge counselors for their scouts.
Leaders use Scoutbook to keep track of advancement, scout camping/volunteer hours.

Parental/Scout Access
To create accounts for parents/scouts - there are 2 parts: (1) Create Parental Account(s) (2) Connecting Scout to Account.

- Use real personal email addresses - not school/work supplied emails
- Keep accounts separate - do not use scout email for parent account and vice versa.
- After you create your BSA account, please make sure you're going to the Scoutbook website: https://scoutbook.scouting.org/ (Sometimes you may be redirected to my.scouting.org - which is NOT the correct place)
